Country of Origin: England. Size: 11-16 inches; 11-16 pounds Coat: Is hard and thick with a dense undercoat. Allowable colors are red, wheat, or grey with grey markings. Character: This breed is brave and tenacious, and occasionally stubborn. It is sporty and seemingly untiring. It is loyal to its handler and good with children. Temperament: If socialized early, this breed gets along well with other pets. It gets along well with children. Care: The coat may need to be plucked occasionally but must never be trimmed. It must be groomed thoroughly at least once a week. Training: The Border Terrier learns so quickly that training is a fairly simple process. Activity: This dog loves to run and play outdoors. It can adapt to being limited to three short walks a day, but will be unhappy in doing so.
